R Patrol enjoying a Christmas meal. Note the variety of dress and headgear worn, reflecting the cooler winter season.

A gazelle head mounted on the front of a T Patrol truck. The rest of the animal would have been a fresh addition to the rations. Note the Kiwi painted on the bonnet, which indicated T Patrol.

The LRDG used to shoot wild animals for sport or for food for the pot. In this case it was a cheetah for sport.

An animal hangs on the back of this truck, which could be an oryx or a goat. The central mounted weapon is a .50 Vickers heavy machine gun. It had a large wooden shoulder butt used to direct the gun. This truck is unusual in that it has a full windscreen. Most had them removed or were fitted with small aero screens.
